Might be a little too early…. buttt I’d love to yap with the rest of you applying! Tomorrow is the last SSAT date and the next weeks are going to be grinding on the applications before J15

Finally did the SSAT! Feel pretty good about since years of CogAT prepped me for this (iykyk)
All apps done and submitted. DS has one EA acceptance so far. Worried FA won’t be enough bc it’s not with the EA.

Got my SSAT score already, 90th percentile!!! Perfect on verbal, good on reading and honestly not happy about my quantitative but hey 90th percentile is 90th percentile! My score was 2259.

I’m losing hope; everybody has a better application than me.
Don’t say that about yourself! Essays and interviews count alot too, they’re not just picking ECs they’re also picking community members so I think if you did really good on those you should be on the same footing as most people.
im applying to 12 boarding schools and i already submitted everything in my apps including recs, essays, writing sample, etc. I took the ssat last week and coming out of the test room i didnt feel the best especially because of verbal but i believe quantitative and reading were very good. Im expected to get the results either this week or next depending on how busy they are

SSAT doesn’t matter a lot. When people used to say this, I always thought they were lying. But then Andover themselves said 70th+ is good. But don’t worry, verbal ruined my score too.

My interviews were very mid, and I’m still doing my essays. What schools are you applying to?
I’m applying to Christie (I mean aren’t we all), Blair, Hyde, suffield, Lincoln academy, Milton, loomis, hotchkiss, hill, Taft and NMH. Little iffy about NMH cus I still haven’t done my interview and for mercesburg I hadn’t realized they required the SAT for the grade I’m applying for… My interviews were all great I especially Milton and Blair! I have about half of each schools essays done and am currently working on finishing them by the end of break!

I’m applying Andover, Choate, Lawrenceville, Exeter, and Hotchkiss but I’m not done with my essays cause I was too busy studying for standerdized test but I hope my essays can carry my application.
Also should I open my decisions as soon as I get them or wait for all of them and open them at 7 PM?
If, as a young teen, you truly have that level of discipline, you should pass go, collect $200, and head straight to university. Seriously impressive!

I have to stay at school because it’s a half day on the 11th and 12th. I’m going to have to wait after school anyways cause we’re not allowed to use our phones at school. And my parents will probably want me to open my decisions around them. Also is there a thread that says the exact times the schools release the decisions?
