i know right!!!ughhh

Is it just me or have the mods been really active lately round here? Sorry candidate :(. We should stop posting on the Countdown Thread though because otherwise we’ll never beat it

haha yea no kidding. ssrs

yes to both things

Have any of you guys read “A Separate Peace”? It has always been on my bookshelf, and today I realized that I might as well begin it. After reading the back and discovering it was about the summer boarding school experience of two teens, I decided that this is too much irony to handle. Is this a sign or something? I honestly don’t know…any thoughts? And, admissions committees are probably selecting the final few people a pile of maybe’s right now so they can move on to financial aid and start writing the letters…so many of us are already rejected or accepted. This is scary…

that is so creepy

…and no I haven’t read it

Seperate Peace was based on Exeter.
The admissions people probably haven’t finished all the acceptances letters yet becasue I am pretty sure everyone gets the same letter they just copy the names into the Dear_____, part.

Last year I think the Exeter acceptances were personalised.

Yeah, for the most part. I think that some are personalized, for I have read on some threads that the letter commented on a person’s “fabulous EC’s” and how they want him/her on a sports team there.

I have so much homework, I think its because I literlly havnt done any work for weeks I’ve been so involved with BS. I checked my grades and there are some Bs! The horror…

when i was filling out application stuff and writing essays i had a hard time trying to study for the ssat, do applications, and keep my grades up

Well, I guess this is part of the test of who can handle boarding school. Just getting in is hard.

yea, this whole process is like college

You’re telling me.

my grades actually went up during bs process.

i got a B in the easiest class : world history.

my classes actually went up after 1st term which is the grades i had to send in
1st term was horrible shudders

My grades went up and now dropped down shrugging eyebrows i think it has to do with my nerves

What do you mean by personalized? As in, “We loved the fact that you excelled in ________ extracurricular, and you were a sweet kid in the interview, though to be quite honest you were only an A2?” (haha, like they would say that). But seriously, can somebody give an example of what the letter will likely say? I’m rather curious.

The day after they sent my 102 in science, it dropped to a 96. mwahaha

konikamano, I don’t think they would talk about the bad points if they accept you. they probably would if you were waitlisted or rejected, but I’m only guessing.
