whats wpm??

I’m thinking I’m a little late in the game but oh well here it goes!

Hi! I’m… well I shouldn’t say my name. I’m in 10th grade now and am applying for 10th grade at one (my favorite) school. My grades are not perfect but I play two sports (softball and cross country) and am on varsity for both, varsity captain for XC. I love to do aerial acrobatics (I try to stay away from the word “circus” because then everyone thinks I’m a juggling clown and I’m NOT!) and I like to volunteer! I also sing and act and currently have a lead in my school’s musical.

My favorite school is Taft :D

I love interviews.

Aaaand I’m super nervous for March 10th!

YEAHHHHH GO TAFT!!! WOOT WOOT! I <3 XC!!! glad there’s more of my kind…lol

How was your interview? Who did you interview with? Sorry to sound nosy but I have 0 experience with this so I don’t know whats, good, bad, or normal. Also, what grade are you applying to?! :D

I love XC!! YEAH!!!

I had my interview with mrs.campbell.

im applying to grade 9. i doubt i’ll get in my stats were horrible 1st term and my app was late. :frowning: ill try again next year though :/

411: i thought you were a sprinter?

OOOOO btw, how many of you guys do track? what events? when does your season start? mine is march 15! and i do the mile 2mile nd 4x800, tho i might b switched around this season the coach did some thinking

XC is awesome. Warning though, don’t run in bad conditions. I slipped, fell, got a concussion. Was out of school for weeks, ended up keeping me just off the Honor Roll and on Commended instead, and my team and I would have gotten 3rd or 2nd in the HVAL had I been running and I would have been a new england all star.

So don’t make my mistake! Even if your coach forces you try to reason with them!

omg, my knees were wicked bad this year and i could barely run all season. i definitely would’ve made varsity this year too. before they started acting up i was like the 2/3 runner! grrrr luckily i think im good for track this season  i like distance better though ;)

Oh! I was with mr. frew and also met with the assistant XC coach, the softball coach, head of music, and head of drama.

Overall I was extremely impressed! It was so well organized! I was there all morning but never did I have to wait for more than a minute because they had me out and about. Truly a lovely school. I really hope to attend!

I felt so comfortable there, only one other school did I feel remotely as comfy. I could DEFDEFDEF spend 4 years there

how is the XC coach?

Really nice! From what I hear (from numerous sources) the team is really close, themed runs and tons of fun! haha but that’s really something I’m looking for since I’ve never really had that. I remember when I was in 7th and 8th grade (I was on varsity back then too) I really looked up to the older people and we were pretty close but then the seniors graduated and a ton of kids left and suddenly it wasn’t so nice any more. This year as captain I really tried to unite the team suggesting we do stuff together, get matching jackets, wear matching bows, anything to make us more of a team but none of it worked.

Did you interview with any other people?

I can’t run for my life

I’m sorry to hear that! I’m sure you could if you wanted to. Might even start to enjoy it after a while!

it is kinda fun, i just HATE running long distances, like the mile and half-mile.

I wish I could run short distance, as I assume it would be more my forte but my school is too small to offer anything but 5k cross country. I suppose it’s one of the reasons I want to switch!
