Applicants of 2010

I met with the head of admissions for my normal interview, the assistant varsity cross country coach who was also the chaplain, the head of music, the varsity softball coach who also works in admissions I think, and the head of theater.

It was busy but very well organized!

Do you mind telling us what school this was at?

Taft. That’s the only school I’m applying to haha :)

Uf: GO HURDLERS!!!
Rad: I am a sprinter, but I did XC this fall to train for track and really liked it, ALMOST more than track. I run the 1 and 4hurdles, sometimes the 4, if i must i do the 2, and then the 5k for XC
our track season started the 1st of feb., when did yall’s start?

My friend applied to Exeter, but hasn’t gotten an interview yet because the interviewer never called her back - I wonder how that’s going to work.

So I just had this epiphany:
I’ve been worrying about my essays and my interviews and my stats, but I’ve totally forgotten that my stats are also compared to what is possible at my school, and I’ve forgotten all the recommendations, and I’ve forgotten the parent statements, and I’ve forgotten my PSAT scores. Once you remember all the components of the application, It makes you feel alot better. And now that 1000 more applicants haven’t applied to Andover, I’m feeling much better to.

My track started Feb.1 too. Well, at least I am pretty sure it did. I don’t really remember. I just know it started in the beginning of Feb.

Haha my track starts March 15! suckassss :stuck_out_tongue:

r ur teams any good?
mine is in its second year and last year we got 7th place at D2 W.Mass out of 30 teams  This yr we’re going for 5 and up, plus with returning runners* we’re extra good :)

*we had a co-op team with another charter school nearby for 3 years before hand.

Sorry to change the subject but any of you read elsewhere byGaabrielle Zevin? It’s not my normal book but I picked it up in borders and coulsn’t stopi. It was very though provoking.

I read it it was a bit strange

Never heard of it…

btw, I’m going home from China today! and there will be nothing to keep my mind off March 10!!!

also…I haven’t done any of my hw!!! ahhhhhhhh!

How I plan to keep my mind off March 10th: Next week is “hell” week for my show where we have rehearsals till 8 every night and since I’m a lead it means I’ll be on stage the whole time… greaaaatt.(we also have rehearsals today and sunday). Then we have the show Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Then I have preseason the next week for softball (so fun!), we’re doing a fun thing in math, and after I’ve found out, that weekend I’m going to London!

The end.

i read elsewhere, it was a little awkward.

I looked at the plot summary for Elesewhere; it seems wierd.
My track team is pretty good; we have alot of great long distance runners and throwers (shot put and discus)

We don’t have track at my school… I play softball.

8O legasp NO TRACK!!! how do you live!?!?!?

I don’t. I die.

But honestly, the fact that my school can’t offer ANYTHING is one of the reasons I want to leave.

Does everyone here do track except me?

yep
10char

I don’t. I said that. But I do cross country so unless you miss-spoke and used “track” as a word to cover all running sports as my parents and everyone else does far too often, we’re on the same boat.
