Applicants of 2010

I don’t think I understand the question… I take 7 courses a day, 5 main courses and 2 “specialist” courses. The five main courses stay the same all year, one of the specialists alternates from gym to whatever class you are on for the cycle. (Health, Communications, Consumer science) and the other specialist is different each term. (Music, Art, Woodshop, Computer) soooooo I guess I take 13 a year?

I take only 6.
I want to take like 10, but but maximum is 7 classes and there are usually schedule problems.

i applied to only andover and exeter. i really like andover, but my dad likes exeter. and boarding school really is my last chance for a good education right now. my county just voted yesterday to get rid of magnet schools, so my math program just got cut. i would be taking pre-calc over summer and calc AB/BC next year if i don’t get into boarding school, but no more magnet schools, only base so the math gets cut. i’d love to go to boarding school sooo much! i really need to get away from here right now.

Blue: i feel bad for you. i’m sorry :frowning:
but i know how you feel in a way. my “friends” do that to me all the time. and i’m currently not talking to my 3 ex best friends because they got so mad at me because there’s 2 other students at my school applying to boarding school and at the time of applications, i was spending some time with them and my counselor to work out the apps, and they just were ****ed b/c i was “blowing them off.” so anyway i haven’t spoken to 1 of them since dec and 2 of them since a month ago. march 10 is THE most important day of my life!

haha sorry to vent to you guys, but i’m so stressed out over this decision and our stupid school board and my 3 ex friends

btw, i take 7 courses a day, 4 core classes, 3 electives

I had this dream where I was with my dad and bro in a mall, and we went to eat at this restraunt and a white mouse without a tail showed up and I could talk to it by going squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak and I went to this wierd school thing where I was learning how to become a lawyer and then my parents called home pest control and they said it was poisonous and had rabies, and it scratched me on my hand in a really wierd shape, but it didn’t actually cut me, and my parents said I had to get rid of it, and my dad was using a pager on an escalator, and he paged a random waitress person, and it was really wierd

Also, my initiation song is awesome! But who is worthy enough to become a hard core CCer? :p

We have a very strict course track, exactly 11-13 courses per year depending on if you take chorus/bad/orchestra/nothing and madrigals/jazz band

next year is a LOT more flexible

Wth! Seriously. I have 15 a year.
I get nightmares too blue. And occasional insomnia…

But then, at my country all these courses are obligational and must be taken for 3 years! So i basically study all objects…gah.

I don’t get insomnia because… well i just don’t haha, but i do have dreams of jumping for joy and being accepted into my dream school, and then always having those thoughts and being like yea right I won’t get it, like now.

I have 12 courses a year. Some switch off such as P.e/computer and religon/reading/art. The others are core subjects including music.

Violindancegirl: That sounds terrible :frowning: I hope you can be friends with your “ex” best friends, and if you can’t I honestly don’t think they ever could have been real friends to begin with :o

Paula: There is a girl I know who had a dream that the admissions officers were trying to decide if they should accept her or this other kid for the last spot left, and they chose the other kid because he bribed them with pudding. :D

We will know on Wednesday!!!

Indeed we will.

I love how when I get home I literally spend an hour catching up on CC before I do anything else.

when i get home nobodys on lol

I take: 5 main classes and specials rotate every term…so 6/8? courses

I get home at 3:16pm
stupid 10 minute walk from the bus stop.

ew 10 minutes, my walk is like…1.2 minutes at the most lol

Although neatos mile through corn field put it in perspective. I missed the bus once… the 3 mile walk through rain ensured it never happened again :D

how long does it take u to drive? me 20 mins

I"ve never been driven to school since registration…so i have no clue :p

I get to walk home .9 miles, no bus for me :frowning: but most of the time I can carpool (anyway, .9 miles is not that long and its nice to breath fresh air after hours in our stuffy, cement, jail-like [my friend’s uncle literally thought it was a jail] school)
