Applicants of 2010

haha, not at all blue. and they didn’t give us ANY FA, so i’m upset about that…

congratulations puppylvr!
even though its a safety thats a great accomplishment!!
i want this thread to beat countdown now really badlyyy!

Congrats! Hopefully you get more of those tomorrow! =]

The no FA sucks! Seems a common theme among 2nd tier. Can you go without FA if you have to? Or is it essential?

I mean, i could go, but then i’d have no savings for college… i’d rather not do that

aw thats happened to 2 people already!!! (scared now!)
i really hate how the full pays are going to have a better chance with this whole economic situation, at least you know your good enough to get in, but thats still very sad :(

Big Ups puppylvr!! at least ur were accepted!

thanks for the condolences. an e-hug to you all!
yeah, but i’m still really nervous for tomorrow… i can’t wait!

I really hope I get FA… It would suck to get accepted and then get merced on FA.

Well, on the bright side, if I get accepted tomorrow, my parents will take me out for a victory dinner. If not, I’ll still go out for a “cheer up” night out. If you can call that a bright side…

I mean at the end of the day we’re lucky they offer FA at all, I reckon. Annoying as it is that people not as qualified as as get FP positions over us :(

I don’t have any college savings, college is free at home so my parents never thought about it lol.

i wonder how many people that apply to the schools were applying to have as great stats as the people on here do, i mean dont you think this is the cream of the crop?

I think the ratio of awesomeness on this forum compared to the real world is a little skewed…

i think this is the cream of the crop

I guess although a lot of kids of alumni don’t seem to post here cause they already know stuff about BS? It seems we have a lot of FA, public school, int’l or foreign born kids who got the idea of BS themselves and managed the process a lot on their own. I think CCers tend to be in the top 1/3 of apps at least because by being on CC we show we are dedicated and have a genuine deep intrest in BS as well as being generally intelligent and are able to, at least online, get on (for the most part) with others. I think CC ,and I could be wrong, tends to draw in the bright underdogs generally. The type who you generally wouldn’t expect to be applying to a really expensive boarding school in New England.

well said blue!

that sounds pretty accurate, blueraven.
im just wondering, is your first choice groton???

Yes although I’m wary of having a first choice right now. and you?

Hey BlueRaven, I’m wary of choosing a first choice right now too. Like many people say, you love the school that loves you.

its a really close tie with exeter just in front of deerfield, andover right behind them. all of my friends are convinced im going to get in and im like “you dont understand the competition really, do you?” haha
