I have been denied admission to Cate.
I just received an email titled “Cate School”. At first I thought it was some reassurance before M10, so I eagerly clicked on the link. I read on the first few lines - they sounded exactly like Andover’s dean journal, but it turned out I was rejected. They didn’t even explain why.
I totally loved my Cate apps and essays. I think they should at least have put me on the waiting list, because I got a 99% on the SSAT compared to the average of 80% of newly admitted students to Cate.
I’m not super depressed because Cate isn’t my first choice, but I’m shocked and disappointed. I can’t stay positive until tomorrow. Maybe if I’m not good enough for Cate, there’s no way I could be good enough for the HADES.</p>
