<p>Swissbrit, I would just go for the big ones, like the “1st tier schools” and apply to like 8 of them. The schools with higher acceptance rates tend to have lower available financial aid.</p>

<p>okay, so I’ve decided to post here after looking at quite a few people’s disappointments. I hope you guys don’t quickly cast me away for being a newbie on the thread…</p>
<p>Anyway, I go to Andover (class of 2011) and was first waitlisted for my freshman year, then reapplied for sophomore (aka lower for anyone who’s familiar with the weird andover terminology) year, and got in! So basically, if you really love a particular school and didn’t get in, don’t lose hope, there’s always next year! And to those who got into andover, feel free to ask me questions…but first and foremost, congrats!</p>
