Nighty night all :)

Guys PM me with your FB name/email add. It took me YEARS to actually find a pro(ignore this)xy that works!!!

******* censo(ignore this)rship!!!

Ohh you’re chineese right ? Yeah you need a foreign country proxy to log on to FB. The ones you pay for are the best.

Yeah. But my parents think PAYing for the Internet is ridiculous. (and so do I)
Glad I’ve found a free one that works.

@gonnastop

Are those words actually detectable by the Great Firewall? Are they blocked regardless of context? Absolutely fascinating. I live in Beijing, so although this might be slightly off topic…

HELLO THERE CCP. I LIVE IN BEIJING. I WOULD LIKE TO COMMEND YOU ON YOUR IMPECCABLE RECORD ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND DEMOCRATIC FREEDOMS. THE CENSORSHIP YOU ENFORCE IS ABSOLUTELY NECCESARY TO THE OVERALL STABILITY OF OUR SOCIETY. THANK YOU FOR BRAINWASHING ALL OF CHINA INTO BELIEVING THAT THE TIAN AN MEN MASSACRE IS A MYTH.

LOVE,
KLI

Okay. As unbelievable is it may seem, after I posted that message my internet was wonky for quite a while until it died altogether. And then it was followed shortly by a full-fledged system crash. ._.

I know I sound like i’m ■■■■■■■■, but by Andover, I’m not making this up.

Moral of the story: The CCP is not to be trifled with.

What you read in NYTimes and Xinhua(Chinese media) are all SELECTED TRUTH. They are facts, but people just comment from different perspectives.
All sorts of social media work for the government(simply because they have to follow the laws, rules, etc). Therefore, an uncensored, unbiased media doesn’t exist, no matter it’s state-run or not, no matter it’s Chinese or American. So we should always be critical when reading news. They’re companies and making money is their ultimate goal. They tend to report more “catchy” stuff(like someone won jackpot), rather than normal things that happen everyday(like millions of other people who don’t win lottery in their entire lives). We shouldn’t be too accepting.

Anyways, censoring info is completely wrong.
The whole “cens(ignore this) or” thing----I made them up. They’re funny to me. We have similar jokes here.

Kli
I don’t get your post. What is it? “but by Andover…” what’s wrong with Andover?

Freedom of speech is very lacking in China (or any other communist countries). What you read in Xinhua is a lot more biased than what you read in NYTimes.

On a totally random note, Gonnastop, you seem to use “At least” a lot these days. No offense though, just a random observation :D.

You guys are reminding me that I have an essay to do about what george orwell thinks about governments in general…
ewww

homgOMGOMGOMG 8D THAT ESSAY SOUNDS REALLY EXITING!!! XDXDXDXDXDX
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

but u know what i found really funny- There’s a local day/boarding school that i’m considering applying to and their application seems ttly rofl! like the essay prompt was “Write a paragraph describing an experience or activity that was especially meaningful to you or compose a poem that reflects your feelings about yourself or the world around you.”
Not to be condescending or anything but i think i already have that aced ;)

and did u guys see Princess and the Frog? it’s REALLY GOOD! It’s ttly on my list of good disney movies!

Haha no, but I want to :)

you def should! 'twas great! ;)

Rad what’s the name of the school you might apply to ?

MacDuffie; it has a really small boarding program and not a lot of money. But you should still apply. It may be not as good as say exeter but I’m considering kind of like a pre-prep that would get me prepared for a BS(not that it’s not a VERY good school to begin with) next year if I get accepted.

It’s mostly day but they do have boarders. it’s REALLY small (like hovering around 200 small) so it has that ‘cozy’ feel. Their Ames Hill Boarding Program looks really good. Like they have field trips exclusively for them etc. check out their website.: [The MacDuffie School](http://www.macduffie.org/About%20Us/welcomefromhead.html)

Also they have rolling admissions ;)
