funny thing is us canadian bacon’s invented lax but we dont even play it in any of our high school!

^what? o.O

I say you lax. seems like more fun :)

actually Iroquois invented in tho good try and anyway they play in toronto and eastern canada a lot although they play indoor lax, called box lacrosse

i learned that in like second grade!!

Ah I really don’t know what to choose. I’m really small (5 feet 100 lbs), and the only sport I’ve ever done is gymnastics. I’m going to be an 11th grader so I’m thinking that I might just want to do a club sport because I’m going to be really busy. But idk. Is being really short a disadvantage for lax??

not for girls, it’s more about running and being fast, and moving the ball

i have played 3 years of box lacrosse but i quit because of the hitting, i would really like to play field because theres not that much hitting and its less focused on hitting and more on passing and running and moving the ball around i think

:( weather today is soooo dreary. i don’t have school today, but it’s looking absolutely miserable out there… geez i can’t wait for the summer. kayaking, sailing, melanoma, here i come!

no one i know plays lax. hahaha, must be an east coast thing :S

So I think I’m going to do crew instead. I think I’ll be good at it cause I’m light and really strong. And since its two terms I can really get good at it.

Rowing isnt neccesaraly about being light or strong it helps but its better if you are very taller and have long legs. most of the power in rowing actualy comes from your legs not your arms so if you too light you wont contribute much power. i would sugget if this is your first year of rowing you should maybe coxwain for a term to get a feel of it. thats what i did and its alot of fun.

How can someone tell who’s good at rowing or not? Doesn’t it require the whole team to actually move the boat? Unlike in other team sports, where just one person can score.

Im not saying hes not good, i know with my rowing team it was mainly made up with tall, strong, guys and there werent many lift weights. We actualy had 3 germans and 2 nigerians so it was a really diverse group! I rowed on Third seat

rainbow robot unicorn attack = most addictive thing ever. jesus i need to be more productive… but the soundtrack is amazing! :(

PERSISTENCE IS FUTILE

WHAT’S WITH THE HE’S??? All of a sudden everyone is a he! must be b/c every “oldie” has left… we used to be disproportionately feminine back in my day! grumble

…if you’re old, then i must be ancient. stop it, you’re making me feel old
i miss the new-car smell…

Hey Everyone,
I hope you still remember me.
I just here to recap the things that have happened to me over the past few weeks.
I have forever given up hope of boarding school, because the Choate and Deerfield wait-list are useless. However, a local private school gave me full FA, and I be most likely attending there this fall.
I have also found many values that this application process has taught me, and I will treasure them for the rest of my life.
This is most likely my last post, so farewell.

Best of luck to you, eddytie! Embrace your new school and you will do wonders.

Congratulations eddytie, best wishes on your choice:-)
