<p>Im considering not applying to Deerfield and Hotchkiss. They seem a little preppy to me and I don’t know if i have the time. Any advice?</p>

<p>yeah, thats what I’m thinking. Cutting it back to SPS,Groton and Andover… Much less stress you know… Are you applying to A/E and Milton? I didnt apply to Milton cause it seemed a bit heavy on the day students</p>

<p>Deerfield and Hotchkiss are my two favorites. I still have sooo much to do! I haven’t started any essays or short answers yet :(</p>

<p>Yeah! Well, I’m applying day to Milton cause my dad is like “oh my friend went there!” and my mom’s like “just try to apply there w/o F.A. and as a day student, just to see what happens”</p>
<p>I’m not sure I really want to go there, but two schools wasn’t enough, and I was going to apply to one of my friends’ day schools, but then my parents were like “they’re not competitive enough!” (even though they’re top day)</p>
<p>they used to be mine but my parents are pressuring me to cut it to 3. I love Andover and SPS and Groton have been really helpful.</p>
<p>I have no idea what to say about how I grew up and how it affected me because, well, I am who I am and I don’t really know why!</p>
<p>blue: well, w/ milton, they start @ KG, so that kinda turned me off. i didnt want 2 apply 2 a skool where most of the people already knew each other and i would be the “new” kid. and about ur previous q, i would say consider deerfield. i visited it and i loved it. the whole school was incredibly nice, including my interviewer. we talked for like 2 hours, my dad got worried, lol! but i cant say bout hotchkiss - not exactly my forte. :)</p>
<p>I went to Deerfield and my biggest impression was this closeness that everyone had with each other. It still didn’t click with me though…idk, they just seemed kind of impenetrable. plus i don’t do that good with countryish settings.</p>
<p>still applying there though, since there’s a couple teachers there that are AWESOME.</p>
