Hey! I live in Australia! Well I got to the best private IB school where I live (I am not trying to gloat or anything, just telling my story) anywho there are heaps of amazingly smart kids at my school and I never really tried, but then about a couple of months ago I started to get sick of all the people in my grade (not too many of them do weed, but a lot of them drink… in grade nine! (well this year I will be in ten)) and I didn’t really like my home sitch that much and so a couple of weeks before my last semester exams I discovered all these amazing boarding schools in america (deerfield!!) that I would die to go to and I realised (finally said my dad) how freakin’ important my education was, and if I wanted to go to to boarding school in the US that I would really have to bunker down and study my butt off. I hadn’t decided to tell my parents about my idea until mid 2010, but I accidently left the Millbrook School page open on my laptop and my dad saw it. My dad was super supportive of the idea, my mum hated it, but I don’t really care about my mum’s opinion because frankly my dad is the one who makes the money and he said if I get totally amazing grades he support me 100% and pay for all my education and even move to America with me! Anyway my dream is to get into deerfield. Deerfield looks like such an amazing school and it really suits me. I would go there in 2011. What schools has everyone applied too? p.s The headmaster of Hotchkiss is really mean!

i’m in ninth grade right now and attend one of the only private schools in my area. it’s not really challenging (loads of busy work though). i’m basically just coasting through my classes. i really want to go to boarding school because i feel like i can fully rise to my potential there ? (sounds cheesy i know)
my parents are mostly supportive but i’m going to need financial aid.
i’m applying to st. pauls, hotchkiss, andover, groton, and exeter. i don’t know which is my favorite though.
right now i’m pretty stressed because i’ve only finished one of my applications. this weekend i canceled all of my plans, so now it’s just my apps and i. (i guess that’s the price of procrastination)

currently both of mine are works in progress. i’ve written about my favorite word which is around 150 words right now and an activity of importance which is around 225 words right now. still have a lot to go . . .

rad-in-plaid (love your username ahaha) - I am planning on applying to more schools than just DA (Exeter, Andover, Taft, Tabor, Choate, Middlesex and Millbrook), but DA is the school I would love to go to the most, but I have all of 2010 to work my butt off and apply to all of these schools, and b/c I live in Aus, I wont be able to do an interview until the xmas holidays next year. I was born in '95.
