Application Deadline was Last Night

So the deadline for UDel was last night, and I happened to have had a long day, and I fell asleep at 8:30 (I thought it was going to be a nap), and I just woke up about 10 minutes ago. Turns out, my parents inform we lost power at 10 PM anyway… We got it back at around 7 AM they said…

I am beyond upset, and I do not know what to do. I had all my required documents sent in already (School report, recs, scores, etc). I know I should not have waited until the night before, but it is something I did for all my schools so far since I work best under pressure…

Advice?

Try, RIGHT NOW to hit submit.

If it doesn’t work, email an admissions counselor. Personally, I would omit the nap and focus on the power failure.

@bjkmom I just saw this, and I just submitted the application through CA with no problems… I was even able to change the signature date to yesterday. I will be sending an email in to the school anyways just to tell them about my situation.

You know that no one was there last night to download your app, right? Nor will anyone see your “sorry I’m late” email until Monday, too, right?

Don’t send the follow up email. They’re HAPPY you applied. You’re fine. Good luck.

And just as a follow-up…if the school contacts you or anything, do not bring up the nap. Focus on the power outage.
