Application Fee Waiver?

<p>Does PSU have an application fee waiver? I finished my online application but have not paid the fee yet. How do I get one? My parents don’t have a credit card… :(</p>

<p>Yes, PSU does have a fee waiver. It seems that it is based on financial need. The following is from the PSU admissions site:

“Waiving the application fee is at the discretion of the Admissions counselor, and is based on the financial need of the student. Examples of fee waiver circumstances include, but are not limited to: Extreme financial difficulty in the family; personal tragedy or disaster in the family; the primary wage earner in the family loses a job; or the student has a College Board fee waiver. The school counselor should determine the need for the waiver and then contact either the Admissions Office at University Park or the local campus Admissions Office.”

<p>If you do not qualify for the fee waiver, you might call admissions and ask if you can send in the payment with the fee payment form, similar to International students. <a href=“The Pennsylvania State University | Penn State”>The Pennsylvania State University | Penn State;

“When applying online, a credit card (Visa or Mastercard) is required to officially submit the application. International applicants not holding a credit card have the option to print out the fee payment form to send along with the fee.”

<p>If neither of the above work, maybe you can get a friend/relative/school counselor/teacher to pay on-line with their credit card and you can reimburse them in cash.</p>
