Application Help!

I accidentally checked “yes/no” for one of the questions that was NOT applicable to me at all. I cannot uncheck the response, unfortunately. What do I do?!

Also, my essay is not directly answering the prompt. Is this ok?

Thanks

Also, I noticed that there is only space for a single score for each section. I am assuming I only put down my highest score for each. Please correct me if I’m wrong!

Accidental checking: Um… I don’t know. Call them up. Write them a letter. Do the former first.

Essay not directly answering prompt: Uh-oh. I definitely don’t think it’s okay. I’m not an expert, but something as important as college probably requires an essay that does what it’s supposed to. Eh, maybe you can fix your problem with one or two sentences that sum up what you said and is applicable to the prompt. Maybe…

Score: Yeah, use the highest. It makes sense to me. Why else would they have the date taken for each section? Also, the following is on the online app on Educational Info (8 of Part I)—right on top of score info:

List the scores you received on the following tests and the dates they were taken. Indicate any future tests and their dates. You may include test score information in the " Additional Information" section if there is insufficient space below.

Thanks for the response!

I e-mailed the admissions office last night and received a reply stating that they have noted and will change the mistake I made.

I realized that one of the prompt choices is “Describe a mistake or mistaken idea of your own that led to a discovery.” I feel that my essay addresses this well, and this will be the prompt that I choose.

Is it wise to use the “Additional” page to include a resume? The format I have my resume may differ from when adcoms can view it, because I will literally be copying and pasting my information from a Word doc. to the NU online application. What should I do? It seems to get messed up, but I can’t seem to print preview.

By the way, how much emphasis does NU put on essays? I can’t seem to be able to think of anything really creative for my “Why NU?” essay… :(

Perhaps you can mail it the old fashion way.

And I’m assuming NU put a lot of emphasis on essays because I personally thought I didn’t measure up in terms of numbers.
