My best friend applied to the University of Tampa. Her application was in the day before the early action cut off date, however because of some hardship, she couldn’t pay the application fee. She asked someone in the admissions office about an application fee waiver, and they said to email the office. She’s emailed and received no answer. The person in the office also said that it still qualified for the early action cut off, but I don’t know if that person really understood the question. Can someone please confirm? If the application was in before the cut off date, and a fee waiver was requested but a yes or no wasn’t received, does she still qualify for early action?

I’m not familiar with University of Tampa specifically, but in my experience the only things colleges definitely needed by the EA deadline was the application. They’ll accept things that a student doesn’t have total control over later than the deadline.
Also, has your friend asked her guidance counselor for fee waivers? She can get one from NCAC or CollegeBoard.

No, she has not. We will get that done as soon as we get back to school. Thank you for the quick reply. I appreciate it. :)
