I'm a student transferring to NYU in the fall (from a community college). After a long series of conversations with my academic advisor at NYU, I've learned that only four classes from my CC will transfer. They will however be listed on my NYU transcript, along with grades.

I've spoken to a few b schools, and with the exception of MIT was told I would only need to send in my NYU transcript (so long as it shows grades). They also said for the application process, an unofficial transcript is fine.

Anyone have any experience with this? I truthfully would rather omit my community college transcript, but I just want to be sure

you should be fine listening to the school's advise on the transcript.
