application variations

I’m trying to get a head start on college applications this summer, but many colleges won’t have their applications up until July/August. How much do questions on applications vary from year to year (particularly at the places named below), so that I can simply look at last year’s app and work from there?:

Tufts
Georgetown
Carnegie Mellon
U Chicago
Carleton
Macalester
Claremont Mckenna
University of Rochester

and, to make this thread useful to others:
HYPMS
Duke
other ivies

On almost every application, you will be answering some version of two questions:

  1. what do you bring to this college (athletic, academic, EC interest)?
  2. why is this college a good fit for you?
You will also have space to discuss any unusual circumstances.
I think it can be a very helpful head start to complete last year’s application from any of your schools and think about how you are presenting yourself.
U of Chicago is an unusual application, so less useful for this purpose.

Yeah, Harvard sent me a copy of the common application for this year (the only use I have for the place at this point), and I was thinking of getting on that.

I’m aware of U Chicago’s oddness.
