<p>my friend submitted his application without recs, apparently because he didn’t know that stanford requires teacher recs by dec 15.
he still plans to send some bs’d recs in the following week, but does he have a chance at all still?</p>
<p>I’m pretty sure teacher recs and optional recs get a little bit of leniency. </p>
<p>One of my teacher recs never made it to the Admissions Office for some reason, so my teacher had to fill out the form again (she didnt make copies) and submit it after the Admissions Office notified me that they were missing it. </p>
<p>I still got in, so I think it’s no big deal.</p>
