Applied late, will colleges still take my application?

I was late by a couple minutes, will colleges still take my app? I applied to top liberal arts colleges, now I am really worried.

Same thing happened with us through no fault of our own. Everytime my son hit check for errors, it kept coming up with the same old errors and delayed submission until 12:00 a.m. Feeling the same pain.

I’m in a similar situation. For Bates, (my top choice) I applied ED, which requires a contract. The ED contract requires the student in question’s signature, a guardian and the students’ college counselor’s signature(pretty hard to get during vacation).

Something to be relieved about is that many colleges are on vacation until the third, so it doesn’t really matter as long as you submit before then. That’s what I’m hoping atleast.

I applied to bates too, mine was late as well. But I applied Colby for ED II, which I did not get the agreement either.

I think you guys are okay. Colleges won’t start looking at apps till Monday, after all.

I live in the west coast, and I submitted at 9:02 my time which is 12:02 eastern time, and the college is in the east coast. am i screwed? D:

I went through this with my middle son too in 2009 (procrastination seems to be a family trait) and that time it was the payment system that kept freezing on me. He still got into two of his top choices, but I think it varies from school to school how strict they are on the deadline. To make things worse, some random exclamation point showed up when my son uploaded his essay, even though there was nothing on the file. Oh well.

MOST Universities will continue to accept apps up to a few hours after the deadline; however, it may not look very good if a prospective student submitted their app at the last second, regardless of the situation.

Hope this helps

Accidental Double Post

God, now I just realized that my supplement is cut off for Colby. Should I call Colby and tell them?

I hate this so much.

Oh my god do you think so? My application to Columbia university was six minutes late! It was due january 1st,it says on common app when I submitted it,january 2nd ;( I really want to go there, think it will be ok for six minutes late?

I was 1 minute late 12.00am Jan 2 (well in fact like 5 seconds) so I feel the pain.
