Emory offers many joint programs, two of which are a BS in “Applied Mathematics and Statistics” and a BS in “Mathematics and Computer Science.” What exactly can I do with these majors? And which is more marketable?
There’s quantitative analysis jobs in finance if you’re interested in that. If you pair and undergraduate degree in something like that with a MBA you could probably get a pretty cool finance job.
There are lots and lots of things that you can do with these majors. Math, statistics, and computer science are highly in demand.
Which one is more “marketable” isn’t really a good question to ask; it depends on what you want to do. There are a lot of software developer jobs, but that’s irrelevant if you don’t want to be a programmer. They’re both pretty marketable majors in this economy, especially if you develop some CS skills in the first one and some statistics skills in the second.
