applied to MIT math, got a 96 in cal, it's all over?

I applied to MIT for math, and my ***** of a cal teacher gave me a 96 (I would have gotten 100 if I had the other teacher).

Am I screwed?

nah, i think ur more of a **** than he is… 96 is like an F compared to 100?? chill out

lool…omg man, u cant be serious? kiss MIT goodbye, you shouldnt be allowed to live. j/k, ur NOT screwed.

yes its over. Go kill yourself.

You earned a 96, it wasn’t given to you…grow up.

And please, tell me you aren’t serious.

you should be ok. don’t worry.

COME On… you’ll be fine davidn! chillax :)

haha and you applied to MIT!? that is ridiculous! What were you smoking?! I think you better just get an online degree and maybe if you are really lucky you can transfer to a community college. Don’t get your hopes up though, mediocrity like a 96 in calc is frowned upon in all circles. Good going you just wasted both MIT’s time and yours. (and now mine) idiot.

was this 96 earned at a high school or at a Top 10 University? Cause by the time you in 10th grade, im hoping your in 9th grade since your only in Calc, that if you want to go to a school like MIT you need to have completed Multi Varb Calc at a MIT school while still in HS.

Good luck
i remember one time that i got a 97… felt like crap for a whole week.

Have fun at community college.

My friend got into MIT and she even got an A- once!!!

Did you also get a 1590 on the SATs???

1590 and wanting to go to MIT? He doesn’t have an ounce of chance!

Dude… that is really serious… I would recommend getting a detailed note from counselor explaining the rigor of your course, and how you are still excelling academically. Then, I would immediately change the teacher. Remember, every thing counts!! just make sure that MIT understands your situation completely.

That’s terrible. And I thought I screwed up. Your 96 has wildly surpassed my D on the disaster scale.

I hope your local McDonald’s will give you a job. Then again, even they don’t admit people who get less than 156%.

That made me want to hit “Report Offensive Post.”

Is there any school anywhere that actually wants the precent you got in the class?

96%… for MIT math, considering how they accept IMO participants/medallists every year, they won’t really care much about your school marks. david, do you have any kind of awards in math competitions? For example, participations in the AMC 12, AIME, or if possible, USAMO, would greatly enhance your chances at MIT.

good god. what an academic moron. even my dog can get 100% in calc.

hope you have friends in high places, because I can’t even see you graduating HS.

LOL… this thread is too funny.

I got my report card today and I’m so p*ssed about my B semester grade… I wasn’t angry about the B but I wasn angry after I talked to him about it. I talked to him after class and he said “Hey atleast you got an 89.3 so you can pull it up to an A!”… BS!!! I stay after so many days to tutor his Alg 1 kids because no other student will do it and I faithfully come to class everyday and participate and he can’t help me out .2%… especially when I had just talked to him about midyear grade reports going out???

… don’t worry, your life is not over just like my life is not over.
