Apply now or later?

Should I apply for the school I want to go to now or later? The school is SUNY Purchase. I applied for their Fall 2012 semester, but was differed. Now, I’m attending a CC.

For the first semester, I’ll be taking the 3 core courses (English, Math, and Freshman Seminar, 13 credits) and then I’ll be taking a drawing class, an art history class, a graphic design class, a color theory class, and a photo class (15 credits).

The reason I think I should be applying now is because I keep thinking what if I don’t get accepted for their Fall 2014 semester. Then what would I do?

Should I apply for SUNY this year and next year or just wait a year and apply?

What are the terms of your deferral? I’m not sure how that works; do they give you a reason, such as needing a higher gpa or an improved portfolio? If you do well this semester in community college, will Purchase accept you for the Spring 2013 semester starting in January? Don’t be afraid to contact the admissions office and ask for more info. If you plan to stay in cc for two years, don’t worry about getting into Purchase in 2014. A lot can change for you in 2 years. Do your best work in art and academics now and keep trying to achieve your goals. good luck!
