Apply to CALS or CAS?

So I’m interested in both business and neuroscience, but more so majoring in neuro.
I have a pretty good foundation for it as well:
I’m in a science research program at my school (I had to apply, be interviewed, send an essay, etc.). I have participated in a regional science fair with my project, as well as ISEF, and was sent to the London International Youth Science Forum as a special award from ISEF). Also my research mentor is the director of Columbia’s center for behavior and neuroscience.

For business, I don’t really have as strong a foundation (just a couple of business classes offered at school, AP statistics, etc.) However I’m interested in studying business and seeing where I go from there.

Now, if I want to major in Neuroscience I’d have to apply to CAS. However, I heard that it is more selective than CALS (due to amount of applicants), and being a resident of New York, CALS would be much cheaper for my family. CALS has a good business program, and it IS the college for agriculture and life sciences so maybe my science background would be applicable as well?

I really want to study neuro in cornell, but I also really want to increase my chances of acceptance by as much as possible (lowish gpa), and be able to take business courses.

Any advice is much appreciated!
