Applyication Strifes and Woes

So, not only does my application say it was received on 11/2/11 even though it was submitted the night before. But it says I am applying as a high school student who will get their AA before their high school diploma, which is not representative of myself. I was also curious if anyone knew what the last accepted test dates for ACT/SAT scores were?

Current stats 4.5 W GPA, 4.0 UW (2nd of 425, Salutatorian)
SAT 1270/1820
ACT 27
1st Place in FBLA District 14 competition past few years
French Club member 3 years
Not many other notable acheivements

Retaking ACT done prep, got 30 on Huntington’s Mock exam, hoping for 30+ on real ACT

If you could give any input on whether I should even bother stressing it or if my chances are so low that I need not bother with it.

Dude, I apologize but please humor me and advise how you became Salutatorian of your High School with your command of the English language.

I wrote this late at night and paid no attention to grammar or spelling. I just typed as I thought and didn’t look back. Upon reviewing my post, I can understand why one may ask such a question. No offense was taken, however, despite my errors, I would still like my questions answered.

P.S. I can go back and edit it if it would placate anyone.

Why did you say you were a student receiving you AA? You definitely need to call admissions. those particular applications go through a different process…

Hi and again I apologize, but honestly, I could not resist.
My only concern with your post is that your application was
marked received on November 2nd, which would place your application
as received late. Additionally, if you are entering with your AA degree, then
as previously stated on your thread, you would be considered a transfer
applicant and a different set of criteria is use for consideration for admissions. Your question will require direct contact with an admissions official. Good Luck!

Disregarding the fact that my application is currently in a state of disarray, could anyone chance me?

4.0 UW / 4.588 W recalculated by UF
27 ACT, Retaking in December
1270/1820 SAT
2nd in class

Limited ECs
Decent at best essay.

Ok, I will try and it all depends if UF considers you a transfer applicant
with your AA and or if your application made it on time. Since you “DO NOT”
have your AA yet, I believe your still considered a freshman applicant and the late submission may just about kill you. If your application made it on time, then your SAT is below average and I am not sure if the December SAT test results will make it in on time. Suggestion- Call admissions-
If you applied on time and your SAT was 130 points higher, then no problem. Good Luck !

Thanks for the reply david. Like I said however, my application was submitted on November 1st, and when I did a campus tour I was told that if it was submitted before 12 AM November 2nd it would be considered on time regardless. I am just confused as to why it would say it didn’t receive it til the next day.

Submitted and received are different. You submitted the application on the 1st and they received it on the 2nd. You’re fine.

Thank you for the input iSenior! Do you have any information regarding the message of receiving an AA degree? One of my DE professors told me that it just meant they were going to evaluate my college work as well as high school, and more or less meant my efforts toward receiving an AA degree. However, any additional information would be appreciated.

I am one of those Dual Enrolled students who will receive their AA before graduating high school. In fact, after this semester ends (December 9th), I will have my AA! Anyway, another poster has misinformed you. Dual Enrollment students are NOT considered transfer students! We are still considered to be freshmen admission. I agree with the poster who informed you to call and get that straightened out though, if you do have DE credits but will NOT be graduating with your AA before attending UF. I called UF before starting my application and they specifically told me that DE students are still considered to be freshmen, not transfer, for scholarship purposes. The reason being, if you apply as a transfer student, you are not elligible for freshman scholarships.

Hope this helped! Any more questions, feel free to message me!
