I got into Kean university but my decision came yesterday and since im a international student i cant attend this semester so will defer to the spring 2016 semester, my question is can i apply for aid after acceptance? My plan was to loan the money from my parents for one semester then apply for aid the next but since im already deferring to spring can i apply for aid now?
Also to pay for one semester my parents were gonna sell the car so i cant really afford more than one semesters full tution
Kean is a public university and is supported by state taxpayers. As an international student you should not have high expectations of receiving much aid. You can contact Kean’s financial aid office with your question.
How much can your family afford to pay each year for 4 years?
I can afford upto 7k each year room and board arent included because I’ll be living with a relative in new jersey
total tuition is $17,653 per year
It doesn’t seem likely that a public university would give you $10000+ per year.
Can you afford college in your home country?
Kean Univ isn’t going to give you the aid you need. do not sell the family car to come here for one semester. That is crazy.
I just looked on the website…there is no aid for int’l students.
Have you received the I-20 and applied for visa? Without a proof of financial support, you will not even be able to get the F1 visa.
@Shaddy Your family will have to show that you have the ENTIRE COA (not just one semester of tuition). Plus, you will also have to pay health insurance, books, fees, etc.
You can’t afford this school.
Kean is not going to give you any aid. Their policy is NO AID for int’l students.
