applying for bioeng grad school

Hey all, I’d appreciate your opinion on this.

I’m applying for the master’s program in bme/bioeng in orthopaedics for Fall 2007 and I’m wondering what my chances are of getting in.
I graduated from Johns Hopkins Univ. with a BS in Biomedical Engineering. My grades aren’t so hot: 3.22 (major) 3.02 (cumulative) but I did do research during my 4 years there. However, the research was unrelated to orthopaedics and my name wasn’t on any journals or anything. After graduating, I worked two years in a research lab that focused on lung physiology. Right now, I’m doing an internship for an orthopaedics company and I really enjoy it and want to get a master’s degree so that I can get a full-time job as a R&D engineer. Anyway, my concern is that during college, I didn’t take classes that focused on biomechanics or biomaterials. To me, it seems that will weaken my chances of getting into that field since I don’t have a good background in that area. My GRE scores are fine and I can probably get good letters of recommendation.
Does anyone know what schools I should apply to for the orthopaedics field? The schools I’m thinking of applying to so far are Duke, Columbia, Case Western, and Northwestern University. Am I aiming too high???
