<p>Applying for economics major with 2280 on SAT and 4.00 unweighed GPA, from a very poor family, will an applicant be at disadvantage? Is there any way NYU could give the applicant scholarship of any kind? :-S </p>
<p>NYU is stingy w aid, even to domestic applicants. Would be a more sensible strategy to focus on schools w the best likelihood for FA or merit aid, than to pick a stingy school because u like the location, then hope for aid.</p>
