what do you think? is it good idea apply for ivy and some ten schools (i mean the boarding schools organization) postgrad as safe?

hell no, it’s not. have you even looked at postgrad admissions in depth?

Yeah, they’re not really “safties.” They’re usually taken by people who are self- and school- selected for specific reasons, often athletics.

PG spots are tough to get. Especially if you don’t play a sport. You have to contribute something for the year you are there, they don’t want it used as a stopping ground for people who don’t get into ivy’s.

No - don’t do that.

First of all, it’s extremely hard, and why not try for safety colleges instead of extra high school?

If your thinking is that going to a top BS for a PG year is going to improve your chances for a second application to Ivy League (the following year), I think you are mistaken. The competition at top BS for the X% who do make it into Ivy schools is tremendous. And if you are not in the top quartile of your top boarding school, Ivy is not guaranteed.

That’s really not the best of ideas. You should either go for PG year or college. Not a bit of both. Another thing is the admissions officers won’t take you seriously.
