>>Applying for Yale Early Action, class of 2011<<

For those planning to apply early to Yale, how do you feel?

a) synonymous to ED. if i get in, i’ll attend 100%.
b) just an early assurance. if i get in, i’ll still apply to more schools for quality comparison
c) just an early assurance. if i get in, i’ll still apply to more schools for scholarship package

e) pretty sure i’ll get in
f) i got a solid shot
g) very little chance. trying anyway

a) If I get in, I’ll definitely attend. I may still apply to a few other schools, especially ones where I would be considered for scholarships, in case anything pops up before May.

f) Solid shot, like everyone else on this site. :</p>

b/c) I’m pretty sure I’m applying to Yale EA, but I know my mom will want me to see what kind of financial aid I can get elsewhere if Yale accepts me and doesn’t give as much as my family wants (we’re not wealthy by ANY means, but we’re not bad off either so I’m not sure how much need-based aid I’ll be able to get). Also, I can’t pick between Yale and Brown as my number one yet (: o)

f) Most definitely a good shot, but wow it’s all up in the air at any Ivy.

a…g! a snowball’s chance in hell, but it never hurts to try, right?

a) If I get in, I’ll apply to like a safety in case the admission was a mistake or something… but pretty much it’ll be ED
… Somewhere between f and g. Its pretty impossible to have a solid shot at Yale…

b) I’d almost definitely go… but i’d be curious anyway (I also might like Cornell Ag & Sci…)

f/g) I think i have as much of a shot as the average applicant, but who really has a “solid shot” besides recruits and legacies with really powerful parents?

B/C. I would almost go, but it really boils down to how much money Yale is going to give me

F. I think I have a solid chance, again like everyone on this website

b) just an early assurance. if i get in, i’ll still apply to more schools for quality comparison

f) i got a solid shot

c) just an early assurance. if i get in, i’ll still apply to more schools for scholarship package

what can i say, i am poor

C/F. I will get exactly 0 dollars and 0 cents from Financial Aid, and my parents just started making good money so they don’t have enough money saved to fund me all the way through. I have a solid shot, and hopefully I’ll at least get deferred so I can get accepted during RD with better swimming times that can get me recruited. If I get the money and the recruiting, I’m there in a heartbeat.
