I’m planning to apply MIT this year and also planning to apply for other schools.I’m a int student I don’t really know how the system works but a friend of mine told me I cannot apply multiple schools at same time.To apply multiple schools I have to apply them one by one with time intervals.

Is there a such a rule or is there anything I should do before apply multiple schools?

If you are going to apply early, make sure the other schools do not have SCEA (single-choice early action: Non-binding, but you can only apply to one0 or ED (early decision: binding on admission, you must withdraw your other applications upon acceptance).

If you are going to apply regular decision, you can apply to any other schools that you want.

Just a note, international applicants can’t apply early to MIT. But if you are planning on applying to MIT, make sure you don’t apply ED anywhere else. Regular action, however, you can apply to as many schools as you’d like. Simply fill out the forms and apply You do know about SATs and stuff though, right?

Those are the requirement for most schools although some schools require 3 SAT2 subject tests. The latest SAT test date for applying to most schools is the January test date, so make sure to register early.

You’ll also need your teachers to send in recommendations, your transcript sent, standardized tests, etc… the details are particular to the school you’re applying to.
