I was planning on applying to UNC, UMD, USC, and Baylor EA. I don’t think (please correct me if i’m wrong) that any of these plans are restrictive. So my question is, is there any advantage or disadvantage to applying to 4 schools EA? I’m am also planning on applying to a few rolling admission schools in September.
The advantages include getting you applications done early, and getting your decision early. Also, many schools require early action to be considered for merit based scholarships. In addition, you get your teacher recommendations asked for early before the teachers are swamped with many of them which could mean that more time is spent carefully writing yours. Disadvantages might be less time to craft essays, or if you need you first semester grades to boost you GPA.
It turns out that USC’s and UMD’s programs aren’t technically EA, so it’s just the other two schools. I will still be applying early in the year for all these colleges though for merit oppurtunities
Best of luck.
thank you
