I finished my first year with a 3.0 gpa and actually made Dean’s list one semester, but I failed my remedial class. I was put in remedial math for not doing well on my entrance exam, I was absent too many times (I was extremely sick) and ended up failing the class. At this outside math program I’m doing to make up for the remedial class, he said no college will look at me with a failed remedial class on my transcript. Is this true? I applied to hunter, city, and Brooklyn for Spring 2018. In hopes of being in a regular math class this fall. I really don’t want to have to get my associates at my current college.
