How to pay I pay for 7 years - which means no loans now
Get grade grades
Take advantage of your school time - join clubs, etc.
Get a great LSAT
All schools will have pre law advising.
You can go wherever you want and you can major in whatever you want. One poster says math and philosophy majors do best on the LSAT but law school takes any major - literally.
How about UVA Wise with a transfer to UVA as an option?
Heck no.
With your stats, you can go to great schools at $25-40K - both in and out of state.
Are you VA limited? For example, U Alabama with $28K automerit is $24K for you - less, when you move off campus.
Schools like UT Chattanooga would be $30K or ETSU close to VA.
Salisbury in MD will be $30K ish.
WVU and Marshall - under $30K.
You have great in state options.
UVA isn’t exactly cheap - even for in state.
There’s “many” schools you could go on the cheap.
I know you’re Asian and you might want a more diverse student body.
But money is paramount and there is zero reason to take loans or even spend $50K - not with your #s.
I would prefer to go to school in state (not really relevant to cost) but yes there are definitely other good but also cost-effective options in state. I will look into more! Right now, I’m a big fan of George Mason but I will definitely explore more.
Oh, if you love GMU, you’re going to get in - so why would you apply to UVA ED and W&M ED or Va Tech - or do you just mean, if you didn’t get into those three, you love GMU.
If that’s the case, I think you can be done with the list of four.
But I think JMU, CNU, UMW and I’m likely missing some - they’re all great - if you wanted more.
But you’re going to get into GMU.
If it ranks 1, then I wouldn’t ED at UVA or W&M.
But if it’s not 1-2, stick with your plan.
I’m guessing you get into 2-3 but if you love the true safety, you’re good to go.
