It is a public FAFSA only school, she applied as out-of-state student. We are looking for needs-based aid. The school application deadline is Feb 1st. The FAFSA priority deadline was Dec 1st last year… The schools wasn’t even on her list then.
The only way to know if a delay will mean less aid is to contact the school and ask. Run the school’s NPC to get an idea of how much aid you might expect best case scenario, but as an out-of-state student seeking need-based aid, I wouldn’t expect much, even if everything was submitted by the priority deadline. Institutional need-based aid, if offered, is generally reserved for in-state students.
