Applying to the UC Berkeley

Berkeley suggests that "if you are applying to a professional school or college ( such as the College of Engineering or Chemistry), it is important that you discuss:

your intended field of study
your interest in your specific major
any school or work related experience"

If i’m interested in applying to their engineering school, do you think its mandatory that i write about something related to engineering in my personal statements? Have you guys heard of anyone NOT doing so?

Thanks :)

I don’t think it’s mandatory, just recommended. It’d be a really good idea to do so, since passion is important for admission. There are those who didn’t do that and still got in, though they’re probably few in comparison to the others who did do that and got in.

same question with applying to Haas.

you can’t apply to Haas as a Frosh.

yeah i just found that out… shocked*… so where else can high school seniors apply(top business colleges).?

Business colleges are graduate schools. You can however get a bachelor’s degree in something business-related.

and what are the best places to get a business-related degree?
