Applying to UVA for Commerce

<p>I’m doing the supplement for my app. to UVA right now and I just have a question. I want to go to UVA to study commerce. UVA doesn’t allow freshman to apply directly to commerce though so what should I select for the undergraduate program to which you are applying question? The school of commerce is listed but it says transfer only and I’m applying as a freshman. Do I have to select another program and do the essay question for that program?</p>

<p>Thanks for the help in advance. I’m new to the whole college app. thing and this is the first time I’ve ran into this problem. Sorry if this is a stupid question!</p>

<p>Which program/school would you want to be in if you cannot or do not get accepted by commerce? Go with that.</p>

<p>Many pick Econ as their “back-up” which would be in Arts and Sciences, but others have interests in engineering or architecture, etc.</p>

<p>You can certainly discuss your interests in commerce in the essay, but perhaps include other interests as well? Someone who is (or was) in Comm could probably give you a better answer.</p>
