is it appropriate to tell a college you’ve been “pinning” on them?

In the conclusion of a why us? essay. Best way I can describe it. Thanks.

hmm???

what do you mean by “pinning?”

Do you meaning “pining [for]?”

If so, (slips into English dork voice) it seems to imply incorrect diction. One usually pines for a person, not a…college.

“Pinning on” means attributing a crime to someone (blame) so that’s not right either.

A better way to show interest would be to include specific classes and professors you would enjoy learning from, or writing how you envision yourself on campus taking advantage of all the opportunities the school offers.

thanks a lot :)
