valedictorian

Chances?

Very impressive scores;
but always remember, the scores are not the dominant factor that determines your admission… “every” individual who applies to Stanford University also has insane/unbelievable stats…

What about EC’s?

approximate chance based on scores alone - 10% :-)

Your scores are great, no doubt about it. However, what else helps you stand out? Did you apply RD or REA?

If that’s the name you used on your application then you will definately get in

yeah @jdlace “SheepGetKilled” is a pretty creative name. lol.

Your reading sucks, what are your EC’s

^its not that bad

700RD is good enough… come on ;/

Based on this alone, and the fact that you’re on CC and probably know to some extent what you’re doing…

25%

i don’t understand the whole chance percentage thing… it’s not like the admissions officers roll a dice based on your statistics… if they want you you have 100% and if they don’t then it’s a 0%. it’s not like they take all the people with your same exact stats and randomly select 25% of them

but, yes, you’re definitely not giving enough information.

edit: i totally get what ThousandMiles means though… it just wouldn’t make sense to roll a four-sided die to judge chances solely on the fact that you’re on CC

^the percentage is just each chancers estimation of the liklihood of him being picked, not something the admissions guys would actually use

buttttttt it’s so meaningless! gah. people get admitted not out of chance but because they fit with what admissions is looking for. hah okay i’m done.

Yea but there’s still a lot of chance involved. Not every app is read by the same person and there’s always gonna be more desired students than available spots

^Then those chances have nothing to do with the students’ stats, essays, and recs, if the “chance” depends on who’s reading it. Therefore, most of these chance threads are still guesses at best.

^yup, but people just like to get random opinions
