<p>Boston U CGS
NYU CAS
Cornell CALS
Carnegie Melon H&SS
Georgetown SFS (Cousin is one of the top professors for 10 years + part of the adcom a few years ago)
Washington U St Louis
Oxford College @ Emory
Dartmouth</p>

<p>everything’s really great, the only major obstacle might be the act score…</p>

<p>Yea that’s what I was thinking…I was hoping my urm status + low income + excellent essays will make up for 1-2 points.</p>

<p>bump…</p>

<p>I don’t think college allow both Math IC and Math IIC to be submitted…</p>

<p>Yes they do…</p>

<p>bump…</p>

<p>216 views and 1 response?</p>

<p>A lot of people viewed mine and hardly anyone responded as well, so I’ll help you out.</p>

<p>Boston U CGS - In
NYU CAS - Given circumstances, match imo
Cornell CALS - Will probably have a hard time overlooking your ACT score, so reach
Carnegie Melon H&SS - Not sure, somewhere between match and reach
Georgetown SFS (Cousin is one of the top professors for 10 years + part of the adcom a few years ago) - If your cousin helps you out the way you predict, then match
Washington U St Louis - Also will have a hard time with ACT score - reach
Oxford College @ Emory - Match, - my friend was very similar to you in stats and even circumstances and got in
Dartmouth - Dartmouth is very standardized test score conscious, so reach</p>

<p>Maybe its hard for us students to consider your application holistically and thats why most ppl havent responded. But who knows about the ivies. they are usually unpredictable</p>

<p>Boston U- IN
NYU- MATCH/SLIGHT REACH
CORNELL-HIGH REACH (STILL HAVE A CHANCE)
CARNEGIE MELLON- MATCH/SLIGHT REACH
GEORGETOWN- WITH CONNECTIONS (MATCH)
WASHINGTON U- REACH
OXFORD- MATCH
DARTMOUTH- HIGH REACH</p>

<p>Correct me if I am wrong but a match is you have a 50% chance to get in. It is not a safety but it is not a match either.</p>

<p>Thanks – Any other opinions?</p>

<p>bump…</p>

<p>don’t worry about it, you will get into some good schools, and even if you don’t get in, here’s some advice: keep applying the same effort you applied during high school and you will go places, big name college or not</p>

<p>thanks for the advice.</p>

<p>Probably not Cornell or Dartmouth. Georgetown depends on the strength of your connection probably. Don’t know about the other schools.</p>

<p>Thank you.</p>

<p>Make sure you send out a couple of applications to safety schools ASAP. You’re a smart kid but admission to top tier schools is extremely competitive.</p>

<p>I think ACT and rank are going to be a problem, but obviously your jr/sr grades help where GPA/rank are concerned.
I’m bad at these, and you are in a very unique situatioon, but I would say:</p>

<p>Boston U CGS in
NYU CAS reach
Cornell CALS reach
Carnegie Melon H&SS don’t know
Georgetown SFS (Cousin is one of the top professors for 10 years + part of the adcom a few years ago) high reach
Washington U St Louis high reach
Oxford College @ Emory in
Dartmouth high reach</p>

<p>Just curious, did you apply anywhere else?</p>

<p>Georgia Tech, which is about a match.
I’m getting really nervous right now. =(</p>

<p>My cousin at Georgetown said all of the adcom are his friends, and he wrote a 2 page letter concerning me, hopefully it will help =/</p>
