Could people with past experience or knowledge (either direct first-hand experience or via observation of CC postings) please respond? Question: Re April 10th: should wait list applicants not expect to hear anything (IF anything) until Monday (i.e. regular business hours)? Or, under the calendar circumstances, is it possible/likely that schools would be making offers over the weekend? Thank you! Much appreciated.
There are a few people on CC who have already received offers off the wait list based on folks who have already declined admission. The schools are likely to look to replace acceptance with candidates of a similar profile. It is going to take them a few days to match up the profiles of the people on the wait list to those students that declined admission at the last minute. I doubt they are making any offers until mid next week. No first hand experience here just my opinion.
Thanks @RedSoxFan18 Yes, I realize the conditions under which an offer is generally made (that is similar candidate dropping offer and similarly matched candidate being offered that same spot). I was wondering more about the fact that 4/10 falls on a Friday…ie whether or not schools might engage with this over the weekend. My guess is not. A timing/ logistical question.

What part of that does not answer your timing question?
My guess that the schools will probably wait until after the April 10 deadline before taking kids off the waitlist. The April 10 deadline itself varies considerably among the schools. Some are at 12 noon, others at 5pm, 8pm, etc. So in this case I guess that if any waitlist offers are going to be given out, it will probably be late evening on Fri Apr 10 or starting Sat Apr 11.

Wait list email from Andover says they are fully enrolled and are not expecting to take anyone off the Wait list.

I actually got off a waitlist April 10th and they offered to pay back my deposit from the school I enrolled in.
