I think the answer to the boat one was $3,600

there was a question like this:

so many people did A
so many people did B
so many people did both A and B
so many people did neither

and then it asked like how many people did neither?

that was the bike and treadmill one. I put 153 i think

ye it was the arc sin 10000/8*5280

Bike was:
Treadmill-Both + Bike-Both

Right?

i put 153 as well but can’t really justify. can anyone explain how they got $3600? and does anyone happen to remember if that was the first (smallest) choice?

thanks

See In my head I thought it was Arcsin(10000/8(5280)), but I don’t remember seeing that in the answers. There were 2 Arcsins, one without the conversion from miles to feet, and another I think was wrong.

Also on the last one, about the raining and the thing being canceled, Was it the last one? (E or K) ?

you do 117 - 53 = 64
89 - 53 = 36
64 do only treadmill
36 do only bike
53 do both

ALL = 153

i got K but I have no idea what it said lol

also emergency helicopter question was 26 miles.

I think I did (Treadmill + Bike) - both and got 153

i got 153 too now that I think about it. i did some math (no, really?) and I remember doing 175 - 22 and getting 153.

30000.0730(sold in july 2006)-30000.0633(sold in july 2005) = $3600

Did you guys get 1/2f(x-2)-4

^yes. the 1/2 in front horizontally stretches, the (x-2) moves the figure TO THE RIGHT 2 units, and the -4 makes the bottom of the function start at -4.

it’s actually amazing how *ty I thought I did until I came here. I think I got like 3-4 wrong at most. holy *.

The helicopter one, It was like 4 miles north, 2 miles east. Which gave you Squareroot of 20
Then it was 22 miles south and 6 miles west, which is Squareroot of 520.
Just add the two together and I got 27.3, but I just chose 26 because it was close.
Did anyone get 26 exactly?

I did the same too.

What was the 16% question? The center of the circle could’ve been any of those three options and the LCD was 4(x-2)(x+2)

for like a minute i kept getting over 26… and since I have OCD, i needed to make sure I got it exactly because I didn’t want to get it wrong. I eventually made a rectangle out of it, had to find the hypotenuse, turned out to be sqrt 576 or 26.

Yes you can just do distance formula from the point (2,4) to (-6,-22)

Sqrt of 676 not 576 is 26
