April 4 ACT ------ Reading

first i put months (because next summer) but changed it to “years” because in the 2nd or 3rd paragraph it said straight out “over the next few years,” the book became her companion

yeah it said directly in the passage the book was her companion for years nothing about months

I thought the question was specifying a distinct time; however, I could be mistaken.

No, it wasn’t. It asked how long the book served as her companion, and she said several years.

Yes, it specifically said several years.
I had to read the sentence over and over just to make sure I was being tricked, haha.

i don’t remember a question about the purists, all i remember is that they showed their attitude through how they slouched… i hope that doens’t mean I accidently skipped a question and messed up my bubbling!

^^ Wouldn’t you have noticed at the last question?

Luck was on my side. I spent way too much time on the first reading passage and thought I would not be able to finish the test but then I looked at the second passage and it was about urban sprawl which I did a 10 page research paper on so I finished all the questions in 1 to 2 minutes that passage . It was pure luck.

It could not have been years. The “next summer,” she was confident enough to identify plants without the help of the book. Just think in terms of basic logic, too; enduring that much frustration for years would never be the case, especially when plant identification is only a hobby of hers.

you are over thinking it

The 2nd set wasn’t last. Sundays are opened to locals.

THE READING TEST IS BS!!! IT SHOULD BE DESTROYED!!!ANNIHLATED GAH!!! THE ONLY SUBJECTS THAT ACTUALLY ARE IMPORTANT ARE MATH AND SCIENCE!!! DIE READING DIE!! ARRGGHHHHH OUI OUI JE PENSE QUE!!! O LA DORA ET dIEGO!!

^that’s how i feel … exactly

do you speak french? lol " OUI OUI JE PENSE QUE!!! O LA DORA ET dIEGO!! " (although part of it is spanish lol)

I know chinese and spanish… but no french… i knew it was french from oui oui though

yeah for the purists one, i said the way they sat in their chairs or something like that.anyone else get that?

thats what i said (posture)

I put posture, too.

Dabigdawg, I agree with most of your answers except …

“The purists mood was hostile, as in they initially viewed his performance negatively.”
– wait, did this answer have something to do with “snobbish,” or am I going crazy?

“she learned to appreciate the book over the span of several months.”
– Yeah, I put years, too…

yes but that was the only answer that made any sense

i thought it was months?
