I have a problem. I get 34+ on every section except for Science, and I really think it may be psychological. In February, the same thing happened. I need serious help on Science, and it is so frustrating because I am so good at the sciences in school. Was April just exceptionally hard in your opinions? I worked like crazy for it in between the two tests, and don’t know if I need to make major changes to how I address the section if I didn’t get 34+ on this last test.
First of all, what are you getting on the science section?
Now, to begin. There are only two or three questions at max per test that require any science knowledge at all. This is why science students don’t always do well. The science section is practically the reading section with infused numbers and graphs, and that is how you need to approach it. Like the reading section, it can be hard to narrow down what you’re doing wrong. People think they are naturally good or bad it these sections and accept it. That is not the case.
Like you said, beating the Science section can be psychological. But if that’s the case, good. That means it’s an easy fix. If you can tell me roughly how you approach the Science section, how you do, and what types of questions you miss and why you think you miss them, I can provide some more narrow and helpful tutoring.
