The name is Tajiri which means hope and confidence in Swahili.
Evidently there will be a live cam on Tuesdays from 4-8 Pacific time.

The vote was for Allyssa to choose. I did not follow any of the naming stuff do not even know the top
10 choices.
Many, many people who followed the pregnancy and birth via YouTube were fascinated by the relationship between Alyssa and April. Alyssa used to kiss Aoril’s belly and the giraffe really bonded to her. The viewers promoted the idea of letting her name the calf during live chats. I think it was a cute thing to do.

The Tiger Cam is filled with action, LOL! Just like my house cats, tiger mom and her adorable daughter are sleeping a lot! But I love to look at sleeping cats. So peaceful and calming. 
I must confess my heart stopped briefly when the mom picked up the cub and moved it to a different location. How could those big teeth be so gentle? Lots of tongue baths too.
