APs required for engineering

Looking for advice on what APs I must take if I am looking at studying engineering ( mechanical or computer engineering) in college. Also, I know that AP Physics C is a must but should one complete it before senior year so that grades can be reported to college? It seems it will be easier for me to take it in senior year and Physics 1 in junior but I’d love to know what others think.

You don’t need any APs to study engineering.

There’s 411 ABET accredited MechE schools in America and many will require no APs.

Now, for some schools, yes rigor will matter - and the answer to your question really depends on your overall list.

But AP Physics C is not required for entry into a solid engineering program.

Good luck.

You should have some physics. If you can take C, that’s even better. As previously mentioned though, it’s not required.

You don’t need any AP’s unless you are trying to get into a top school. Otherwise I would recommend the AP computer science, physics, chem, or calculus.
