AP's versus college credits

Hi, pretty new to the board. I’m from a small rural school. No ap classes offered. I’m a junior . Have scored a 33 on act. Will take it again soon. Am a 4.0 student, am ranked first out of 10 in my small class. With what i have taken and am planning on this summer and fall i will have close to 30 college credits when i graduate from high school. So far all college grades have been straight 4.0. Any suggestions on how i will stack up against the competition for getting in to say a Stanford, especially if i can get my act up another point or two. thanks in advance.

You’ve definitely taken advantage of the resources available to you and have taken a rigorous curriculum. Academically, you’re in excellent shape.

The lack of AP classes won’t hurt you at all, as you can’t possibly have taken them.

Good luck!

Also, I am recognized academic all state. I am a 3 event participater in sports… national honor society president. STudent council president. Actively involved in livestock 4-h. Scholastic competitions in our area are coming up. As a freshman and sophmore took home a second place medal both years with 20 schools participating. Is it possible i may get a look to get in to some bigger schools because of my extreme remote location for adding a cross section of students. 400 total people in a thousand square miles where i live. I attended the last one room school house in our county for 6 years in grade school before it was closed. I was taught by a retired navy officer who got a teaching degree for all of those 6 years. Just really wondering if i’m wasting time applying to schools like stanford and the ivy leagues. Not alot of chance for community involvement in this remote location.
