I took an AP math class online this year, and pretty much learned nothing…I’m studying a lot for the exam thats in a few weeks but I don’t know how well I can do. Can a bad AP score hurt me?

Yale doesn’t require you to submit AP scores, so if you do poorly, you just shouldn’t report the score.

But why would a score at any level be worse than not having a score at all?

I think that’s the thrust of the OP’s question, and I don’t think there is a need to worry about that. (Not to mention that worry won’t help you score better, so you may as well be relaxed when you take the test.)
