Apt. Master bedroom

I just wanted to get some advice here… How do you normally deal with the master bedroom in the apartment? My apt-mates and I have decided that the people who live in their will definitely have to pay more each month, but we’re not sure how much more. I know it probably depends on the size difference of the room, but any advice would be great. If it helps any, we’re going to be living at the Kelton Plaza (430 Keleton) apartments.

Want to be picky? Measure the square footage of the rooms, and have each person pay per square footage.

Otherwise, if you have parking spaces, the people with the smaller room usually gets it.

Haha, sorry we’re picky but not THAT picky. And we don’t have parking spaces, so that can’t really be used as a factor either.

Right now, we’ve just decided that we’re going to draw names out of a hat and whoever gets that room has to pay more. But the question is how much more…

That’s what I’m saying. Measure out the square footage of the room. One of my friends actually did this to make it the most fair for everyone.

yeah, thats the fairest way of doing it assuming the master BR is noticeably bigger in size. just measure the sq ft of each room, add them up, and then divide each room size by that total to determine how to split up the rent.

so if its 600 sqft and 400 sqft, then split the rent 60/40 for each room.

just coming up with an arbitrary number isnt going to please anyone because theres absolutely no basis for where that amount came from.
