Salary Range: $13.87 - $16.25 /hourly; $28,960 - $33,930 / annually
This position is heavily focused on primarily guest services and door duty at the entrance and exit of the Butterfly Garden. These are Summer positions, anticipated start and end dates are: June 5, 2017 to September 4, 2017.
Responsibilities for the Butterfly Student Worker include:
Crowd control into and out of the garden by maintaining a post at the entrance or exit doors,
Maintain USDA APHIS containment guidelines,
Supervising visitor interaction with butterflies to prevent injury, death and escape of butterflies,
Interacting with visitors throughout the day,
Providing interpretive information about the butterfly exhibit as well as general information about the Zoo,
Care and maintenance of butterflies and moths, caterpillars and pupae that are contained in the butterfly garden.
